Jennifer Lopez has been photographed in no less than THREE different Lynx coats. She really has no class.

I dont like this at all. I wish she could get some alternatives to that....like faux fur.
Faux Fur is what will save these cats, imho

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Wed, March 30, 2005 - 2:49 PMSo sad! Don't people realize that the fur looks better on the animals? It is so depressing that a animal lost his or her life for a fashion statement, which will probably be discarded after this season. -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Wed, March 30, 2005 - 7:06 PMJlo is a sad example of many women who become famous and spend more time on being nouveau riche as opposed to being artistic...she looks very 'ghetto' in fur. Chole Sevigny had made that comment about her when she first became famous and I felt it was racist and classist then, now it's about having a paucity of true class and grace and very applicable.
The worst offender of all is Keith Richard's ex, Anita Pallenberg, who will go to hell for owning and wearing a Snow Leopard coat. -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Thu, March 31, 2005 - 7:48 PMi'm compiling all these cat killers and cat killer supporters, so one day WHEN I CAN UPDATE MY SITE! CUZ I HAVE A RELIABLE SERVER, i can make a list of them to let the world know all these * losers are taking away their childrens chances of ever seeing a live big cat.
so email addresses, digits, snail mail, let's bombard these non-team players. -
-
Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Fri, April 1, 2005 - 1:58 PMYes, please let us know when you post the list. Does this list include domestic cats, or is it just for big cats. -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Sat, April 2, 2005 - 5:10 PMwhile cats are cats, and all cat killers will be eaten..... there are no endangered species of domesticated cats.
whereas:
south china tiger est. 50-150 left in the world
javanese tiger est 400 left in the world
amur (siberian) est leopard 50-150 left in the world
florida panther est 30 - 5 left in the world
siberian lynx est 50 - 150 left in my/your/our/everyones world.
it all comes down to this - tree huggers are right!
Principal Threats
Deforestation is the foremost threat
a vast majority of endangered cats owe their status to deforestation of the environment they live in.
shoot loggers and wear their skin
shoot corporate ceo's like conoco and display their skin as your divine right to wear what you want
shoot ignorant media stars and wear their flesh!

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Tue, May 10, 2005 - 2:12 PMI'm not a member of PETA, however, I check out their website from time to time. Currently, there is a video regarding that horrible woman and her furs spliced into nightmarish images regarding the fur industry that I can't get out of my head. I cried during and after the video. -

Tue, May 10, 2005 - 3:35 PMHere ya go.........
www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp
Please let me know if this link works. This video is geared toward various animals which are tortured as a result of the entire fur industry, not just lynx. I still feel sick and disturbed. -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Tue, May 10, 2005 - 3:38 PMyeah it worked, that's pretty hardcore, i honestly couldn't watch past half way.

Re: J Ho Crosses the line

Tue, May 10, 2005 - 7:39 PMthe violence was attrocious!!! totally horrific!
we constantly prove how under-evolved most of humanity are! -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Tue, May 10, 2005 - 7:53 PMI am seriously horrified that we have to inhabit the earth with people such as these. -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Wed, May 11, 2005 - 1:27 PMoh my god!!!! oh my god!! Thank you for posting that...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaahhhh! I hate that bitch so much!
And I fear the apathy in today's world. -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Wed, May 11, 2005 - 2:01 PMI think another sad fact is that many people don't believe that severe forms of cruelty exisits in the fur industry. I'm glad that PETA is effectively demonstrating the severity of the fur industry. When I opted to view the video, I seriously thought that it would just show that bitch in her coats. I was not prepared for the acts of barbarianism. I'm really glad to have Tribe to be able to connect with like-minded people. Thanks for listening and caring. -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Wed, May 11, 2005 - 4:24 PMthank you!
i just wanna make sure that we try to come across in a positve way when we write to ms. lo, and send the link along, allowing her to make her own choice in the matter.
she might be misguided & ignorant, but purrhaps a positive attitude and well presented info could change her mind & her actions.
meow! -

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Thu, May 12, 2005 - 12:18 AMExactly. So far she has been very careful NOT to be political eg:making no statement about the war(s). She has been very goodie goodie, dumping Puffy when he became to dodgy, crying on Oprah and generally making sappy mainstrem movies. This was SOOO poor of career choice...that's where we should hit her-in the pocketbook. She does not have the blue eyed blond privledge of Madonna and won't get chance after chance to make mediocre films and music as such and Jlo knows that/needs to be loudly reminded of it. -
-
Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Thu, May 12, 2005 - 2:20 AMi like that,
like um, ms. lo, you know you could make your career really mean something if you made choices that reflected an attitude toward sustainability and preservation of the earth's natural resources, like the big cats, by not wearing their skin as coats.

Re: J Ho Crosses the line
Thu, May 12, 2005 - 6:19 AMI agree. In general, I have never cared for the Pam Anderson type. However, she has won me over with her activism and campaigning for animal rights. Now I respect and admire her.
