Neiman Carcass

topic posted Sun, April 10, 2005 - 10:44 PM by  Super Amanda
I was there today and spent sometime talking to the awesome woman who has been staging a protest there every sunday for two years.
There is a new fur called 'Lippy Cat' from China, no one can explain what it actually is...I can't believe that they sell cat fur of any kind-the systematic decimation of the wild cats is the worst thing in the world.

yes, i've attended fur protests in downtown SF...you know the big square where they have all of the major department stores facing each other (probably where this particular neiman marcus fur protest is located). it's a good place to target for protests against the department stores and fur selling. all of them there sell fur. PETA has a lot of good info on the neiman carcass fur campaign.

it just keeps getting more disgusting and more disgusting...

Our fearless feline defender stands right outside of Neimans. As for lippy cat...no one could actually tell me what it is. Perhaps an ocelot bred with a domestic cat...I do know that it is feline.

OH MY GOD!!! I"M SO MAD!!!!!!!! THIS IS LIPI CAT>>>>FROM THE WORDS OF THE KILLERS!

Chinese Leopard Cat (Felis bengalensis chinensis)
Chinese Leopard Cat, also known in the fur trade as Lipi Cat, is one of several subspecies of the small Asian Leopard Cat found across eastern and southern Asia , but the only one that is traded internationally. While most Leopard Cats are listed on Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, the Chinese Leopard Cat is on Appendix II. The main threat to all Leopard Cat populations has been encroachment on their habitat by human development.

Casual observers have been known to confuse Leopard Cats with domesticated cats. However, the Leopard Cat actually has a much longer body, a distinctively thick and soft pelt, and far more striking coloring and markings.

As the name implies, these markings resemble the Leopard, and include rosetted and random spots, bands running from the forehead to the back of the neck, and a white underbelly with black or dark brown spots. Leopard Cats are found in a wide variety of habitats, from deserts to dense forests, and their markings and background color vary accordingly. The Chinese Leopard Cat, found primarily in China's Yunnan Province, tends to have a richer, bolder pattern than other subspecies, adding to its commercial value, on a golden background.

I just recieved the most awful message from this redneck regarding my post to stop the trophy hunt...
"Hell yes, kill the fuckers. There are to many of them to support in the wild. Any of you that don't what this can take one of these killers in to your homes then. Us hunters were once tricked into voting to protect them when they were already protected and know they are so many that they are invading local areas and killing pets and even people. So if you think that they should not be hunted to control their population then you should have to live with one killing your pets and kids..."
Well, I gave this dueling banjos hillbilly retard a piece of my mind..but I agree this is so painful seeing our family killed-prepare for the day of retribution.

                post his name here!

let's all write him and let him know how we feel!

there have been like half a dozen incidents in cali, of mt. lions attacking a human in the last ten years!

there aren't more of them, there's less cat habitat, so cat's are become more in need of food, pushing them into more urban areas.

3 guys shot a guy to death 200 ft. from our front door 2 months ago, humans killing humans outnumbers cats killing humans like a thousand to one in cali.

                post his name please!!!

                  AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! fucking rednecks!!!

and let's see, mr. hillbilly, how about the fact that the OVER population of HUMANS is what has invaded all of the animals habitat who were HERE FIRST and they are left with no choice but to come into our neighborhoods (which doesn't even happen that often, seeing as how WE have come full on into THEIR neighborhoods). why are so many people SO fucking ignorant???

maybe we could all introduce a bill to hunt hunters? you know turn about & fairplay and all!!!

you know you send your 50$ in,
get your hunter hunters permit in the mail,
and you get to kill 3 hunters a year so that they don't overpopulate the non-hunting populace.
we could word the bill to allow the hunting of oh, say 500 or so hunters a year to be "harvested" for trophies/sport.

i got a spot just over my mantle for your head cat killer!!!

                  So true.
I am willing to meet people half way if they need to eat meet or wear leather .
The big cats are as important as humans, if not more so.
